Norwood Police Partners with Avenues for Success®
A partnership between the Norwood Police Department and Avenues for Success has begun work on a new initiative. We will be recruiting Norwood residents entering school grades 7, 8 and 9 for the 2015-2016 school year, for a Junior Police Academy. A Junior Police Academy presentation will be held at the various Norwood Schools in April, and the first Junior Police Academy Session will be held from June 8th-12th.
The academy will meet from 9 am to 4 pm, for a week of leadership skills, career exploration, and relationship building between the NPD and our students.
